GBP posts (included in Core + Growth)
The Maps profile that earns its keep
Your Google Business Profile lives in the Maps 3-pack and the local-finding results — the highest-conversion real estate in local search. A dormant GBP reads to Google like a closed business. Active GBPs read as live and keep earning the maps slot.
Weekly posts are the single most actionable GBP activity signal. Drafted from your real work, personally reviewed before publication. Not generic filler — every post references a real job, a real promotion, a real seasonal moment.
What the cadence delivers
Real posts about real work, not generic filler
What’s-new updates (new equipment, new service areas, new staff, certification renewals)
Recent work posts: photos and descriptions of real jobs (with permission)
Seasonal prompts: boiler service in September, emergency callouts over Christmas
Offers with start/end dates that Google can parse and surface prominently
Event posts for open days, trade show appearances, community events
Drafted from your context (recent jobs, services, location, seasonality)
I review every draft — edit for tone and accuracy before publication
You see every draft before publish, can edit / postpone / delete at any time
Nothing goes live that hasn’t been reviewed by a human. The review is the standard, not the exception.
How I run GBP posting
Draft, review, publish
- Step 1. Write. I draft each post from your recent jobs, services, location, and seasonality. Drafts land in your dashboard a few days before publication.
- Step 2. Review. I read every draft, edit for tone and accuracy, attach a planned publish date. You see drafts before publication and can edit, postpone, or delete any time.
- Step 3. Publish. On Core, the workflow is drafts → my review and edit → publish. On Growth, drafts ship on schedule unless you explicitly pause.
Questions
Active or silent?
A short update (up to 1,500 characters) you publish to your Google Business Profile — appears in the Maps knowledge panel and the local-finding results. Google supports several types: what-you’re-up-to updates, offers with start/end dates, events, and product highlights. They’re one of the strongest signals that your GBP is actively managed.
Yes. Your website and your GBP are two different surfaces ranking on different signals. The website ranks for organic + keyword. The GBP ranks for maps + local. Posts feed the GBP signal. Skipping posts is the single most common mistake in dormant GBP profiles.
Real posts about real work. Recent jobs (with permission), seasonal reminders, offers and promotions, events you’re running or attending. Every post is written by me from your context and reviewed by me before it goes live. Never generic filler.
Three stages: drafts → my review → your review window. Nothing goes live that hasn’t been reviewed by a human. The review is the standard, not the exception.
No. Every post references your actual work, your specific service area, your seasonality. There’s no “boilerplate post” library — that’s exactly the kind of google-flagged spam that gets the GBP suspended.
Always. The dashboard surfaces every draft with its planned publish date and the content. You can edit, postpone, or delete any time before publication.
GBP posts live only on your Google Maps profile. Social media posts (Facebook + Instagram) live on those platforms. Different workflows, different formats, different approval gate.
Ready to see what you're working with?
Active GBPs outrank silent profiles. The cadence is small, but consistent. Your dashboard surfaces every draft before publish.
A quick honest note.
Fees cover the work we do, not outcomes we don't control. Once a fee is paid, it's not refundable — the work begins immediately. Search engine rankings, third-party platform decisions, audience reception: those are outside anyone's control. What we control is doing the work, reviewing it personally, and showing you every step in the dashboard. Full terms.
